Remedial Massage
Remedial massage is a treatment-based massage that has a therapeutic concept and approach. The remedial massage therapist needs to understand how the body works. With this knowledge, they will use several techniques to assist in recovering connective tissues that have been damaged. This includes affected muscles, ligaments, tendons, and joints. The key benefits of remedial massage are increased blood circulation, pain and tension relief, depression and anxiety improvement, and increased joint mobility. Remedial massage therapists will work with clients who may be experiencing connective tissue dysfunction, musculoskeletal diseases, and an imbalance or restriction of joint mobilities.
Swedish Massage
Swedish massage is the most common form of therapy, best-known as relaxation massage. Swedish massage can be slow and gentle, or vigorous and bracing, depending on the therapists’ style and what they are trying to achieve. Swedish massage is ideal for someone who wants to relieve stress, reduce muscle tension, and improve depression or insomnia.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage is similar in style with the Swedish method, but its pressure is higher in comparison to Swedish massage. Deep tissue massage may feel intense for some because it targets trigger points which are located in the deep layer of inner muscles, tendons, and many connective tissues. Deep tissue massage is ideal for someone who has chronic pain conditions, such as lower back pain, muscle soreness and joint injuries.
Sports Massage
Sports massage is specifically designed to physically activate people. This includes such as sports players, athletes or anyone who has repetitive sports injuries. Sports massage is distinguished by three types: pre-event, inter-event, and post-event massage. Pre-event massage helps prevent athletic injuries and has the function of warming up muscles or stretching them in preparation for performance. Inter-event massage is then to help maintain the individual’s athletic and physical ability. Lastly, post-event massage is used to reduce swelling, muscle cramping and aiding in a faster recovery.
Lymphatic Drainage Massage
The method of lymphatic drainage massage is stimulating lymph vessels to make fluid drain back into the lymph nodes. Therefore, this massage must be performed with gentle and slow strokes to skin using a much light touch so as to stimulate the lymph vessels rather than pushing down to the muscle. The benefit of lymphatic drainage massage increases lymphatic circulation which assists in reducing of swelling and oedema. However, lymphatic drainage massage is not recommended for someone who is suffering from congestive heart failure, having a history of blood clots, kidney or liver problem.
Lymphatic Drainage
Cosmetic dental care is an essential part of our modern life. It may take care of purely aesthetic concerns of the patient (teeth whitening, straightening; etc…). Also, it may involve fixing teeth that were mechanically damaged or chipped off. Sometimes it involves Dental Filling and Bonding, which are quite simple dental procedures. Usually, they do not require numbing or any kind of anesthesia applied.
